Adapass becomes compulsory everywhere

The Adapass safe pass application came into force in all districts on Monday.

All individuals above the age of 18 will be required to have their Adapass scanned when entering venues, establishments and businesses.

Businesses will need to register and set up an Adapass account via adapass.gov.ct.tr in order to be able to inquire the vaccination and test status of customers.

Bars and clubs, taverns, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, internet cafes, betting offices, night clubs, barbers, hairdressers, beauty salons, massage parlours, tattoo parlours, cinemas, stores, theatres, concerts, exhibitions, gyms, indoor swimming pools, hotels and casinos are all required to screen customers using the Adapass application.

The application will also be used at youth camps, weddings and similar celebrations, indoor playgrounds and entry to places of worship.

Unvaccinated persons will be required to present a negative PCR/rapid test carried out in the last 72 hours to enter restaurants, taverns, patisseries, cafes, barbers/hairdressers, beauty salons, supermarkets, malls and banks. No tests are required of vaccinated persons.

Vaccinated persons will be required to present a negative PCR/rapid test carried out every 7 days when entering gyms, hotels, casinos, bars, clubs, youth camps, weddings and night clubs.

Unvaccinated persons will be required to present a negative PCR/rapid test carried out in the last 72 hours when entering such venues or establishments.

Persons travelling to the TRNC will be required to fill in a passenger form on the Adapass website and obtain a QR code so as to be able to enter the country.

All passengers above the age of 18 will be required to obtain a QR code and those who fail to do so will not be allowed into the country.
