The Health Ministry on Monday reported 134 new positive cases of Coronavirus following 14,179 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

The ministry reported that five positive cases arrived to the TRNC via air and 42 were contact cases that were under surveillance for being in close contact with other positive cases.

87 cases were locally transmitted.

33 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 22 from the Girne District, 25 from the Gazimağusa District, four from the Iskele District, and three from the Güzelyurt District

105 people have recovered and have been sent home.

Meanwhile, 223 positive cases and one death were reported in South Cyprus on Monday.

Also the Health Ministry urges anyone who has come into contact with persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 or those who display symptoms of the virus such as fever, coughing and fatigue or loss of smell or taste to contact the Health Ministry Contact Tracing Team.
