The Health Ministry on Tuesday reported 139 new positive cases of Coronavirus following 12,720 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

The ministry reported that five positive cases arrived to the TRNC via air, one by sea and 30 were contact cases that were under surveillance for being in close contact with other positive cases.

103 cases were locally transmitted.

50 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 28 from the Girne District, 19 from the Gazimağusa District, two from the Iskele District, and four from the Güzelyurt District

While two people died from the virus 188 people have recovered and have been sent home.

Meanwhile, 206 positive cases and two deaths were reported in South Cyprus on Tuesday.

Also the Health Ministry urges anyone who has come into contact with persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 or those who display symptoms of the virus such as fever, coughing and fatigue or loss of smell or taste to contact the Health Ministry Contact Tracing Team.
