President Ersin Tatar who is holding a series of contacts in İzmir attended a ceremony on Thursday to mark the 99th anniversary of the liberation of İzmir.
As part of his contacts in İzmir, Tatar also attended a lunch given in his honour at the Konak Officer’s Club.
He also paid a visit to the Kadifekale Martyrs’ cemetery.
This afternoon, the president also attended the second day of a symposium which focused on topics such as “The brief History of Turkish-Greek relations”, “Political and Military Relations”, “Areas of Conflict; Territorial Waters, Continental Shelf, FIR (Flight Information Region), Airspace, Weapon-free status of islands and Search and Rescue operations”.
President Tatar returns to the island on Friday afternoon after completing his contacts in İzmir.
