The Health Ministry on Thursday reported 97 new positive cases of Coronavirus following 13,193 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

The ministry reported that four positive cases arrived from abroad and 19 were contact cases that were under surveillance for being in close contact with other positive cases.

74 cases were locally transmitted.

20 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 29 from the Girne District, 16 from the Gazimağusa District, five from the Iskele District and four from the Güzelyurt District.

85 people have recovered and have been sent home.

124 positive cases and one death were also reported in South Cyprus on Thursday.

Also the Health Ministry urges anyone who has come into contact with persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 or those who display symptoms of the virus such as fever, coughing and fatigue or loss of smell or taste to contact the Health Ministry Contact Tracing Team.
