Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, who is accompanying President Ersin Tatar in New York, came together with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ceyhun Bayramov as part of his contacts in the big apple.

According to a statement, Foreign Minister Ertuğruloğlu informed his Azeri counterpart regarding the Turkish Cypriot sides new thesis, that is a two state solution based on sovereign equality.

Minister Ertuğruloğlu also held a meeting with the UN Secretary General’s Under Secretary General for Political Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo at the UN headquarters and conveyed the Turkish Cypriot side’s position regarding the Cyprus issue.
