President Ersin Tatar hosted top UN official Jane Holl Lute, whose term in Cyprus has ended, for lunch yesterday in New York.

According to a statement by the TRNC Presidency, Tatar and his delegation bid farewell on Sunday to Jane Holl Lute, the UN Secretary-General’s special envoy to Cyprus, as her duties are about to end.

They expressed gratitude to Lute for her services on the Cyprus issue.

Discussions on the latest developments on the Cyprus issue were discussed and evaluations were made for the period ahead, the Office of the President said in its statement.
