The Minister of National Education and Culture Olgun Amcaoğlu is in Ankara for a series of contacts.

Amcaoğlu who embarked on his contacts on Tuesday morning met with his Turkish counterpart Mahmut Özer and the Chairman of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce Günsel Baran.

He will be meeting with the President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Prof. Dr Erol Özvar this afternoon.

The TRNC education minister is also expected to meet with Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay and the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy during his two-day visit to the Turkish capital.

Amcaoğlu is being accompanied by his Undersecretary Aytuç Şirket and the Head of the Higher education and Foreign Affairs Department Dr Ziya Öztürkler.

He is expected to return to the TRNC Wednesday evening.
