The Head of the TMT Fighters Association Yılmaz Bora has expressed his disappointment over those who support a federal settlement in Cyprus.

Evaluating the meeting held between President Ersin Tatar and the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in a written statement on Tuesday, Bora said that it was both “disappointing and shameful” to see those amongst us advocating for a federal settlement.

Referring to the years of the National Struggle, the TMT association president said that the Cyprus problem could not be solved for decades due to the intransigent stance of the Greek Cypriot side.

He added that those who supported a federal settlement supported the same mentality that forced Turkish Cypriots out of the partnership state 58 years ago.
