President Ersin Tatar said that a great injustice had been committed against the Turkish Cypriot people in terms of communication and said that the Greek Cypriot side aimed to harass the Turkish Cypriot side with embargoes but added that no matter what the Turkish Cypriots will never surrender to a solution that has been imposed on them.

President Tatar made the statement when he received the board of directors of TURKCELL and KKTCELL.

According to a written statement by the presidency, President Ersin Tatar highlighted the great injustices carried out against the Turkish Cypriot people in the field of communication and reiterated that the Turkish Cypriot people will never yield to an imposed solution something he also voiced in New York.

“As the children of the Turkish nation we will fight to the end” said Tatar.

Noting that thanks to the GSM operations and communications the Turkish Cypriot people were able to get in contact with the world, President Tatar said that due to the achievements in the field of communication, positive contributions had been made in the fields of economy, business and education.

The board of directors from KKTCELL and TURKCELL also paid a similar visit to Prime Minister Ersan Saner where they exchanged views regarding the communications field in the TRNC.
