The new legislative year kicked off on Friday following a three month summer recess.
A ceremonial session was held at the Republic’s Assembly for the new legislative year.
The session kicked off with a speech delivered by the Speaker of Parliament Önder Sennaroğlu.
The ceremonial session of the parliament ended following the speeches delivered by the political party leaders.
The ceremonial session of parliament which was held to mark the launch of the new legislative year was held closed to the press and public as part of the coronavirus measures.
The General Assembly of the Parliament will convene on Monday, the 4th of October.
Parliament will convene on Mondays to discuss and pass legislation and on Tuesdays for auditing.
