The Health Ministry on Sunday reported 74 new positive cases of Coronavirus following 17,990 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry data, 49 cases were locally transmitted, two of the cases were from overseas and 23 were under observation for being in contact with previous COVİD 19 cases.

19 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 16 from the Girne District, and 14 from the Gazimağusa District.

90 people have recovered and have been sent home.

South Cyprus reports 83 positive cases in the last 24 hours. While no deaths were reported, the total COVİD 19 cases has reached 120 thousand 498 in the South.

Also the Health Ministry urges anyone who has come into contact with persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 or those who display symptoms of the virus such as fever, coughing and fatigue or loss of smell or taste to contact the Health Ministry Contact Tracing Team.
