PM Saner evaluates topics on the country’s agenda

The leader of the National Unity Party Prime Minister Ersan Saner said that they as the government have taken important steps for the solution of the problems in the country and for its development.

Speaking on a television program the premier evaluated the topics that are on the country’s agenda and said that the whole country should be a free zone in order to accelerate the development of the TRNC and added that they are working towards this aim.

Noting that the most important issue for the people in the TRNC is to overcome economic difficulties and lead a better life, Saner said, “we have to make projects, find resources, work hard for this to be realized and that’s what we are doing.”

Explaining that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is in a special situation and that only Motherland Turkey can provide significant support to the Turkish Cypriot people, Saner said that as the prime minister he has established good relations and dialogue with Motherland Turkey and has taken important steps for overcoming the problems and assist the development of the country.

Upon being asked a question regarding tourists and tourism, Prime Minister Saner said that they aim to allow thousands of tourists coming to the island to benefit from the Free Zone opportunities, so that tourism will further develop.

Explaining that 2 to 3 years is needed for the project that will allow the TRNC to become a free zone to come into force, Saner said that the Prime Ministry Economy Committee is working on the issue and will inform civil societies when the project comes into force
