Covid advisory team adopts new decisions

The Higher Committee for Infectious diseases has announced the following decisions in line with the latest epidemiological situation.

All recovered (Covid-19) or fully vaccinated passengers arriving from countries listed under the orange category will be exempt from quarantine provided they present a negative PCR test carried out in the last 72 hours. Any arriving passenger who fails to present a negative PCR test will be tested for Covid-19 at entry.

Unvaccinated passengers arriving from countries listed under the orange category will be required to present a negative PCR test carried out in the last 72 hours and will be required to spend five days in mandatory quarantine.

All unvaccinated persons will be tested for Covid-19 at entry.

Spectators for sports competitions carried outdoors will be subject to social distancing rules. Spectators for competitions carried indoors will be limited to one third seating capacity of the facility.

Vaccinated persons aged 12 and above, persons who have had their first doses and are waiting for their second doses using public transport will be required to show their “Adapass” or vaccination certificates before boarding. Unvaccinated persons will be required to present a negative PCR or rapid test carried out in the last 72 hours.

Tables and bistros at clubs and bars will be placed two meters apart.

For outdoor venues, establishments will be allowed to accept one customer per two meters square.

For indoor venues, establishments will accept one customer per three meters square.

Weddings carried outdoors will be arranged to allow one guest per two meters square.

The rule for indoor weddings is one guest per three meters square. Dancing involving close physical contact is not allowed at weddings.

All dances, ceremonies, concerts, mass events carried outdoors will be limited to one person per two meters square.

Such events carried indoors will be limited to one person per three meters square.
