The Minister of Health Ünal Üstel has announced that booster shots are now available for those above 40.

He said that as of Monday, the health ministry is now offering persons 40 and above who previously received two doses of Sinovac a booster Pfizer-BioNTech shot.

Üstel added that Covid-19 vaccines remained the most effective weapon against the virus and provided the only clear path to ending the pandemic.

The TRNC health minister advised all those who received two doses of Sinovac atleast six months ago to get the booster shot ahead of the winter months and the start of the flu season.

Booster shots are available at the Outpatients clinic at the Lefkoşa Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, the Trenyolu polyclinic, the Near East University Hospital, the Gazimağusa State Hospital, the Near East University’s Gazimağusa Dispensary, the Girne Akçiçek State Hospital, the Near East University’s Güzelyurt Dispensary and the Lefke Cengiz Topel State Hospital.
