The Health Ministry on Wednesday reported 136 new positive cases of coronavirus following 15,613 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, three persons arrived from abroad, 16 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 117 positive cases were locally transmitted.

38 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 48 from the Girne District, 22 from the Gazimağusa District, seven from the İskele District, one from the Güzelyurt District and one from the Lefke District.

77 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus on the other hand reported 188 new positive cases on Wednesday.
