The leader of the Democrat Party (DP) and Minister of Tourism and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu will also be serving as Deputy Prime Minister in Faiz Sucuoğlu’s new cabinet.

Ataoğlu officially assumed his duties after the decision was published in the official gazette.

National Unity Party (UBP) leader and Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu had received approval from President Ersin Tatar for his cabinet for the UBP-DP coalition government last Friday.

Sucuoğlu had read out the government programme in parliament on Monday and the new government will be put to a vote of confidence on Thursday.
