The Health Ministry on Tuesday reported 160 new positive cases of coronavirus and one death following 24,498 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry two people came from abroad, 22 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 136 positive cases were locally transmitted.

40 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 54 from the Girne District, 32 from the Gazimağusa District, five from the İskele District, three from the Güzelyurt District and two from the Lefke District.

117 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus on the other hand reported 266 new positive cases on Tuesday.
