The 38th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will be celebrated with a variety of events.

“A Republic Day Cortege” took place this morning within the framework of the celebrations in the capital Lefkoşa.

The event organized by the Ministry of National Education and Culture was carried out in line with COVID-19 safety measures.

The cortege began in front of the Ministry of National Education and Culture and came to an end at the Parliament building marking the beginning of Republic Day celebrations.

Students from schools in Lefkoşa, universities as well as representatives of various institutions and civil society organisations participated in the cortege to mark the 38th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
