Turkey is further strengthening its drill ship fleet.
The Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez announced that after Fatih, Yavuz and Kanuni a fourth drill ship has been added to the fleet.
In a statement made via his twitter account Dönmez thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his efforts in purchasing the new vessel and also thanked the workers who are working 24 hours a day 7 days a week in order to extract the gas in the Black Sea by 2023.
Sharing information about the drill ship, Dönmez said that the vessel is 238 meters long, 42 meters wide and weighs 68 thousand gross tons and has a maximum drilling depth of 12,200 metres.
He also said that the fourth drill ship that is decked with advanced technology has a maximum operation depth of 3600 meters, tower height of 104 meters and a capacity to facilitate 200 people.
