Health Minister Ali Pilli held a meeting with pulmonology, infectious diseases and paediatric specialists, Emergency Hospital staff and with chief physicians from the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital to discuss how they can better serve the public during these trying times.
Pilli stated that the number of polyclinics will be increased so that every patient with a positive diagnosis of COVID-19 can be examined between 7am and 6pm during the week at the Emergency Hospital.
He added that chest and infection specialists, general practitioners and other specialists will serve in these polyclinics.
Pilli also stated that all the necessary decisions were taken for the best possible examination and treatment of children who have tested positive for the virus.
Calling on the public to get vaccinated Pilli said that he had visited the Trenyolu clinic and observed that a high number of people there were all being vaccinated.
Reiterating the no citizen who wants to get vaccinated will be sent back from the centres, Pilli said that all citizens over the age of 12 can be vaccinated.
He also reminded that those who have not been vaccinated at all and those who are waiting to receive their 2nd, 3rd and 4th doses can do so now by applying to vaccination centres.
