The Health Ministry on Sunday reported 265 new positive cases of coronavirus following 21,539 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, three persons arrived from abroad, 91 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 171 positive cases were locally transmitted.

91 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 40 from the Girne District, 18 from the Gazimağusa District, three from the Güzelyurt District, eight from the İskele District and 11 from the Lefke District.

130 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported 212 new cases on Sunday.

Also, the Health Ministry urges anyone who has come into contact with persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 or those who display symptoms of the virus such as fever, coughing and fatigue or loss of smell or taste to contact the Health Ministry Contact Tracing Team.
