The 37th Ministers Meeting of the Economic and Commercial Cooperation Standing Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is being held in Istanbul.
The meeting is being carried out under the leadership of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Istanbul Congress Centre.
Finance Minister Dursun Oğuz delivered a speech on the topic titled “The Role of Islamic Finances” in supporting Micro Enterprises and Small and Medium Sized Entrepreneurs (SME) against the Covid-19 pandemic.
In his speech, Minister Oğuz emphasized the effects of the pandemic on the sectors and the economy and conveyed the situation created by the pandemic in terms of income and expenditure balance in the budget and financial structure of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
He also touched upon the support provided to the sectors in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus during the pandemic.
