The Health Ministry on Sunday reported 252 new positive cases of Coronavirus following 22,033 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, 62 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 190 positive cases were locally transmitted.

86 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 39 from the Girne District, 45 from the Gazimağusa District, nine from the Güzelyurt District, nine from the İskele District and two from the Lefke District.

219 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported 337 new cases and two deaths on Sunday.
