The Health Ministry on Sunday reported 262 new positive cases of coronavirus following 20,178 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, one person came from abroad, 50 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 211 positive cases were locally transmitted.

89 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 60 from the Girne District, 36 from the Gazimağusa District, nine from the Güzelyurt District and 17 from the İskele District.

While 1 person died from the virus 328 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported 307 new cases on Sunday.
