PM Sucuoğlu: We are working to overcome problems

Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu said on Tuesday that the government was trying to solve problems in the economy caused by the pandemic as well as the ongoing devaluation of the Turkish Lira with all available means.

Speaking during a visit paid to him by the Hür İş Union’s Federation, the Premier emphasized the importance of acting in cooperation and consultation in order to overcome these difficult times.

“We are all together on the same boat” said Sucuoğlu.

Noting that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus along with the rest of the world is going through a difficult time, the premier reminded that the pandemic has flared up and it is not known exactly what the effects of the new mutation will be.

Stating that they are trying to solve the problems in the country with the means at hand, Sucuoğlu emphasized the importance of acting together in unity.

Noting that they will be working on providing new sectoral initiatives in order to attract more revenues to the country after the elections, Sucuoğlu said “we must be able to support ourselves economically”.

Stating that the pandemic has negatively affected the economy and the country’s locomotive sectors, Sucuoğlu stated that the problems experienced in tourism in particular, have had a negative impact on the domestic market but reiterated once again that they will do everything they can to overcome the problems.
