The Health Ministry on Wednesday reported 272 new positive cases of coronavirus following 15,294 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, 47 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 225 positive cases were locally transmitted.

68 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 95 from the Girne District, 43 from the Gazimağusa District, seven from the Güzelyurt District, eight from the İskele District and four from the Lefke District.

While three people died from the virus 347 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported 576 new cases on Wednesday.
