The political parties over the weekend nominated their candidates for the upcoming elections set to take place on January 23rd next year.
Tomorrow is the last day for parties to determine their candidates.
While the National Unity Party and the Republican Turkish Party held elections on Saturday to determine their final list of candidates, the Democrat Party (DP), the Social Democratic Party (TDP) and the Rebirth Party (YDP) held their elections on Sunday.
The Peoples’ Party (HP) had nominated their candidates on Friday.
The TDP will be announcing its candidates on Tuesday along with its contingent candidates.
Meanwhile, the deadline for submitting candidacies is December 17.
The Supreme Electoral Board will be announcing the temporary list of candidates on December 18 while the deadline for the Scrutiny of Applications ends on December 19.
The final list of candidates will be announced on December 26, 2021 and the draw for the order of candidates on ballot papers will be held on December 27.
The official propaganda and campaigning period will begin on December 28.
While the last day for publishing surveys and opinion polls is January 8, 2022, the last day for distributing pamphlets and other materials is January 20, 2022.
January 22, 2022 will be the last day for campaigning and the public will be heading to the polls a day later to determine the new parliament.
