The Health Ministry on Monday reported 175 new positive cases of coronavirus following 25,914 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, 40 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 135 positive cases were locally transmitted.

47 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 48 from the Girne District, 25 from the Gazimağusa District, five from the Güzelyurt District, nine from the İskele District and one from the Lefke District.

While three people died from the virus 273 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported one death and 715 new cases on Monday.
