The Health Ministry on Tuesday reported 215 new positive cases of coronavirus following 19,839 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, two people came from abroad and 62 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 151 positive cases were locally transmitted.

45 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 49 from the Girne District, 34 from the Gazimağusa District, 12 from the Güzelyurt District, nine from the İskele District and two from the Lefke District.

314 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported one death and 662 new cases on Tuesday.
