Health Minister Ali Pilli said that claims that there are no vaccines in the Girne region and that citizens are not being vaccinated do not reflect the truth.

While sharing the figures of the vaccination stocks and the number of people who have been vaccinated, Pilli announced that another 50 thousand 310 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine from Turkey have arrived in the TRNC.

Denying claims that there are no available vaccines in the Girne district, Pilli said that all vaccination centres have been checked and everything is under control.

Stating that Turkey has sent a further 50 thousand 310 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Health Minister Pilli thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay and Turkish Health Minister Dr. Fahrettin Koca for their contributions.

Pointing out that such false claims serve no purpose other than to increase tension amongst citizens, Pilli once again called on the public to be vaccinated.

“We do not have any problems with vaccines. The vaccination process is continuing at all our centres. Our most important weapon in this struggle against COVID-19 is to be vaccinated. Our people should continue to have trust in us. The Ministry of Health works day and night for public health” said Pilli.
