Tatar receives TRNC Patriots Association
Date Added: 15 December 2021

President Ersin Tatar received a delegation from the TRNC Patriots Association headed by Mehmet Yayar on Tuesday.

Stating that he will continue to hold contacts with the people despite the intensity of state affairs, Tatar reminded that during the years of struggle the leaders of that period worked towards easing the problems of the people.

Noting that December was an important month as it was the anniversary of the Bloody Christmas attacks against the Turkish Cypriots, the President said the martyrs will be remembered and he will be paying visits to several institutions and organizations as part of the 21st December Struggle and Martyrs Remembrance Week.

Stressing that since 1974 the state had made great progress with the support of Turkey and in 1983 had established the TRNC, Tatar said now the world clearly sees the reality that there are two separate peoples and states in Cyprus.

The President also added that he will continue to work for the prosperity, continuation and future of the TRNC.

Stating that with the aim of providing health and welfare to its people the state with its institutions and organizations was managing the pandemic successfully, Tatar said “I will continue to be with my people and work towards solving their problems.”
