The Health Ministry on Thursday reported 186 new positive cases of coronavirus following 14,695 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, 40 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 146 positive cases were locally transmitted.

45 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 51 from the Girne District, 31 from the Gazimağusa District, 12 from the Güzelyurt District, six from the Iskele District and one from the Lefke District.

While two people died from the virus 228 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported 2 deaths and 632 new cases on Thursday.
