The Health Ministry on Monday reported 142 new positive cases of coronavirus following 24,708 diagnostic tests carried out in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry, three people came from abroad and 37 people were under observation for coming into contact with previous Covid-19 cases, while 102 positive cases were locally transmitted.

48 of the cases are from the Lefkoşa District, 29 from the Girne District, 16 from the Gazimağusa District, four from the Güzelyurt District and five from the İskele District.

While one person died from the virus 276 people recovered and were sent home.

Meanwhile, South Cyprus reported three deaths and 835 new cases on Monday.
