BRT director continues her visits to state and government officials

The Director of Bayrak Radio Television Corporation Meryem Özkurt paid a visit to the leader of the Democrat Party, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu on Wednesday as part of her visits to state and government officials to mark the corporation’s 58th anniversary.

Informing Ataoğlu on the work carried out by BRT, she said that the corporation contributed greatly to promoting the country’s tourism both domestically and abroad.

She invited him to the corporation’s reception set to take place on Friday.

For his part, the Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Ataoğlu said that the corporation with its impartial reporting had won the support of Turkish Cypriot society.

He expressed the view that BRT will continue to develop and grow in the future.

“We are ready to contribute in any way we can,” Ataoğlu said.

Earlier this week, the BRT director was received by President Ersin Tatar, Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu, former presidents Mehmet Ali Talat, Derviş Eroğlu and Mustafa Akıncı.

Within the framework of her contacts, she visited the head of the TAK news agency Fehmi Gürdallı this morning.

Later Özkurt attended a special radio programm aired live from in front of the main Post Office building in Lefkoşa where offices of the BRT were first located on the top floor.
