Daily Covid-19 cases in the TRNC hit a new record on Wednesday reaching 720.

All 720 of the cases detected out of 22,824 tests carried out in the last 24 hours were locally transmitted.

One person also died.

229 people were reported as recovered.

Of the cases, 357 were from Lefkoşa, 222 from Gazimağusa, 107 from Girne, 14 from Lefke, 10 from Güzelyurt and 10 from İskele.

Meanwhile, a total of 5,202 daily cases and four deaths were recorded in South Cyprus on Wednesday.
