Cold weather continues to prevail in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Snow and sleet are expected today and frost is expected on Thursday and Friday morning.

Director of the Meteorology Department Raif İlker Duran stated that light snowfall was forecast not only for higher ground but for low laying areas as well.

The temperature is set to remain 6-8 degrees below the seasonal norms until tomorrow at around 8-11 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures will be steadily rising by a few degrees as of Thursday reaching around 12-15 degrees Celsius.
