The premier of the movie “Kesişme; İyi Ki Varsın Eren”, a true intersection story of a teenage boy living in the Black Sea hills whose life is full of struggle, a heroic soldier Ferhat and an uninvited visitor from back of beyond was held in Lefkoşa on Tuesday.
President Ersin Tatar, Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu, Turkey’s Ambassador to Lefkoşa Ali Murat Başçeri and the Deputy General Director of Turkish state television (TRT) Hasan Öymez attended the gala held at the Avenue Cinema in Lefkoşa.
The film is produced by TRT and Digital Arts Company in Turkey.
Speaking at the screening, TRT Deputy General Director Hasan Öymez said that the heroism depicted in the film by the actors had been embraced by the Turkish Cypriot people.
Also speaking, the Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Ali Murat Başçeri said that Turkey had been struggling with terrorism for decades but that the Turkish people continued to live in security thanks to the Turkish Armed Forces.
Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu for his part underlined the importance of holding the gala of such a successful production in the TRNC.
Also sharing a few words, President Ersin Tatar said that the heroic struggle waged by the film’s 15-year-old character Eren against terrorism was astonishing and noteworthy.
“The Turkish Cypriot people are with Turkey in this struggle. Together we are stronger,” he said
