Individuals who are 50 years of age and above and who received their 4th dose three months ago are now able to receive their 5th dose as of this morning.
According to an announcement by the Health Ministry, children aged between 12 and 18 whom have had their 2nd dose and three to five months have passed are now able to receive their 3rd dose.
Individuals in these age groups who have immune-deficiency or chronic illnesses will be eligible to get their 3rd jab two months after their 2nd vaccine has been administered.
All other individuals will be able to receive their booster jabs five months after their 2nd dose.
The vaccination of children aged between 10 and 11 has also been broadened to include those between the ages of 8 and 11.
Children within these age groups will be able to get vaccinated at the Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu state hospital, the Girne Akçiçek, the Cengiz Topel and the Gazimağusa State hospital five days a week.
Vaccinations for children at the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu state hospital, Girne Akçiçek, Cengiz Topel and Gazimağusa State hospital is available between 8am-2pm.
Individuals 18 and above can get their booster jabs at the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu state hospital and Gazimağusa State hospital between 8am-2pm.
