The leader of the National Unity Party Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu evaluated the informal talks he is carrying out within the framework of his efforts to form the new government and the process ahead to the BRT.

Stating that the UBP finished the election in first place with 24 deputies but could not obtain the 26 deputies needed to win the majority in parliament, Sucuoğlu said that at this point, a bilateral or triple coalition government is possible.

Emphasizing that forming a government with external support is not ideal, Sucuoğlu said that they can form the government with coalition partners that are willing to take responsibility and make the hard decisions needed.

Noting that they are currently carrying out informal meetings with political parties, Sucuoğlu stated that on Monday the oath taking ceremony will take place in parliament and that following this either on Monday or Tuesday he will be tasked with forming the new government.

He said that once he starts meeting with political party officials he will carry out comprehensive meetings.
