The leader of the National Unity Party, Prime Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu who has been handed the task of forming the new government launched talks on Wednesday with other political parties to form a coalition.
Within the framework of his meetings, the UBP delegation headed by Sucuoğlu visited the Rebirth Party (YDP) this morning and will be meeting with the Democrat Party (DP) later this afternoon.
He will be visiting the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) and the Peoples’ Party (HP) on Thursday.
Speaking before his meeting with the YDP, Sucuoğlu drew attention to the urgency of forming a new government, stating that every passing day without a new government resulted in a delay in solving the country’s problems.
The UBP leader repeated that his priority will be to form a new government of stability that will not experience the quorum problem experienced by the previous government.
Sucuoğlu said that he hoped that talks for forming a new government will be completed by the beginning of next week.
Despite unofficial exchanges between the parties, the UBP leader will now be holding talks at an official capacity.
