Children at primary and secondary schools throughout the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus returned to their classrooms Monday morning following a two-week winter semester break.
Close to 50 thousand students returned to schools for face-to-face education.
A total of 24 thousand primary school students, 22 thousand secondary school students and 4 thousand vocational school students were back in classrooms for the new semester.
Primary school students will complete the 2021-2022 school year on Monday, June 20.
Schools affiliated with the the General Secondary Education Department and the Directorate of Vocational Technical Education will end the 2021-2022 Academic Year on Friday, June 17.
