Berova and Candan to represent Parliament at PACE meeting

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is being held in Strasbourg.

National Unity Party MP Özdemir Berova and the Republican Turkish Party MP Armağan Candan are representing the Republic’s Assembly at the extraordinary meeting.

According to a statement made by parliament, the extraordinary General Assembly of the Council of Europe which has convened urgently to evaluate the situation in Ukraine, will take place between March 14-15/ today and tomorrow.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will attend the meeting via video conference and address the General Assembly.

Meanwhile Berova and Candan will also attend a committee meeting on Wednesday, March 16, where a report on the developments in Maraş, which is on the agenda of the PACE Political Affairs and Democracy Committee, will be discussed.

After completing their contacts, the delegation is expected to return to the country on Thursday, March 17.
