President Ersin Tatar received on Wednesday a delegation from the Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors’ Association headed by Cafer Gürcafer.

According to a written statement issued by the Office of the President, Tatar said it was important to put a tap on what he described was a grey economy.

He also expressed happiness over the coordination being carried out between the Minister of Labour and Social Security and the Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association in the orientation process of workers arriving in the country to work.

“The TRNC is a safe country. Investments will increase because of its natural beauty, culture and hospitality. There will be those from different countries wanting to invest in this country,” he said.

For his part, the head of the Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association Cafer Gürcafer conveyed the problems being experienced in the construction sector.

Gürcafer and members of the delegation also inspected the physical state of the Presidential Palace and received information about the problems being experienced.
