The Hatay Sea Bus Company HADO will be carrying out its first trip to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Regular voyages between Hatay and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will take place from the Gazimağusa Port as of the end of May.
Services will be provided to passengers from countries such as Israel, Libya and Lebanon in the period ahead.
Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Bülent Ok stated that with HADO, during the first stage passengers will be transported regularly to Gazimağusa Port for strategic purposes.
Noting that sea bus services will take 5 hours, Ok said, “The planning stage for the opening of Maraş is over. With the opening of Maraş there has been more interest in the region and tourism has increased more than we expected. That’s why we chose Gazimağusa. We are now waiting for Maraş to be opened to tourism so that Gazimağusa can return to its glory days. The state has done everything it can”.
