Finance Minister Sunat Atun came together with the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez.

Atun will also be coming together with the President of the Central Bank of Turkiye Şahap Kavcıoğlu this afternoon.

Meanwhile Finance Minister Sunat Atun and his accompanying delegation came together with the Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati in Ankara, Turkiye.

Nureddin Nebati, in a post on his Twitter account, stated that they met at the Turkish Ministry of Treasury and Finance with his TRNC counterpart Atun and the accompanying delegation.

“We had a productive meeting in order to increase the economic and commercial cooperation between our countries” tweeted Nebati.

It was also reported that the developments in the international conjuncture were discussed and information was exchanged on projects that would assist the development of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus economy.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister Atun took part in an online program on BRT and evaluated his contacts in Turkiye.

Atun pointed to the problems experienced around the world and stated that there are also problems in the TRNC as well and that support is needed.

Stating that his meeting with Turkish Minister Nebati was held in a positive atmosphere, Atun stated that there was a budget deficit of up to 40 percent.

Pointing to the importance of the sustainability of the budget, Atun stated that motherland Turkiye’s financial support should be accepted and measures should be taken in the country.
