The Chairman of the Higher Education Planning, Inspection, Accreditation and Coordination Board (YÖDAK) Prof. Dr. Turgay Avcı who is holding a series of contacts in Ankara was received by Turkish Vice-President Fuat Oktay.
Issues related to higher education in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus were taken up during the meeting held at the Turkish Presidential Complex.
Speaking there, Prof. Avcı told Oktay that they strived to further raise the high standard and quality of higher education in the TRNC which was an important window that opened to the world.
Stating that the support provided by Turkiye to the TRNC was also very important for YÖDAK which is responsible for the planning, inspection, accreditation coordination and quality of higher education, he expressed his gratitude for this support.
Avcı added that during the meeting they also shared views on how to prepare the TRNC universities for the future.
Turkish Vice-President Oktay for his part stressed that the support provided to the TRNC will always continue.
He also added that they will continue to support YÖDAK to reach its objectives.
