The 8th Serdarlı Sestalar Spring Festival inaugurated by President Ersin Tatar was realized on Sunday.
Speaking during the opening of the festival President Tatar emphasized the importance of festivals in order to keep customs, traditions and cultures alive.
Commemorating the late Ayşe Çimen and Fatma Gürsu two local women while inaugurating the Producer Women’s Exhibition at the Serdarlı Mukhtar building, the President said that although these women are not alive today, their handicrafts are on display and are of great importance.
Noting that he will continue to work in order for the youth to be able to find job opportunities and more investments to be made to the village the President also emphasized that the achievements of women are indisputable.
“We will continue to support initiatives that encourage women to produce, we will continue our existence by producing in every field on this land,” he said.
Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre also said a few words during the opening ceremony.
He said that Serdarlı is an important region in the production of handicrafts and noted that the investment made in culture and art is very valuable.
