President Ersin Tatar attended the Cyprus Turkish Folk Dance Federation New Dance Presentations Festival, organized within the framework of the 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day events.

Addressing the event President Tatar said “In order to maintain our existence on these lands, we must transfer our own culture, customs and traditions to our youth in the best way possible.”

The event was organised jointly by President Ersin Tatar, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Deputy Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, and the Youth Department in cooperation with the Cyprus Turkish Folk Dance Federation.

The event was realised at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Centre within the framework of the 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day events.

The President expressed the hope that these new events will become permanent and thanked those who contributed.

He congratulated all the youth on May 19, Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, and presented a plaque to those who contributed to this meaningful event.
