President Ersin Tatar has been bestowed “The Most Successful Statesman of the year” award by the GAP Journalists’ Union at the 15th GAP Awards organized in Malatya, Turkiye.
“I want to emphasize how meaningful it is to maintain our existence freely on this island and protect our rights and interests as part of the Blue Homeland doctrine,” he said.
Tatar added that he was grateful for pursuing his political career in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
“This is a great honour and pride for me. Now I have the opportunity to protect both the TRNC’s and the Republic of Turkiye’s rights, laws and interests at all international platforms. I am honored for being able to respond to claims, initiatives and statements whether it be from the EU or the US, making sure that we maintain our just cause in the area of foreign policy, serving Turkish interests,” he said.
